Okay time for an update. So far I've looked at about two dozen conversions from heeps to chevys and this is what I've found out. The internal regulator in a Gm Delco will not handle the output due the rectifier having a stock rating of 32 volts and the idea here is to generate at least 100 volts. I looked at a few sites and I may have found a solution. I found a regulator that is able to handle 200 volts. I think the CS144 alternators on the vettes, cadillacs and the chevy blazers will work in stock form. not sure yet. I have to make a yard run.
